Seattle is a walkable city with a strong park system, and the city has invested significantly in public restroom infrastructure. Here is where to find clean facilities across the city.

Pike Place Market

Pike Place Market has a public restroom on the main level near the main market building. There are also facilities in the lower levels near the hillclimb. These can be crowded during peak tourist hours.

Seattle Parks

Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill, Gas Works Park on Lake Union, Myrtle Edwards Park along the waterfront, and Cal Anderson Park all have public restroom facilities. Seward Park in the south end has excellent facilities near the main parking area.

Waterfront and Olympic Sculpture Park

The Olympic Sculpture Park (free admission) has public restrooms in the PACCAR Pavilion. The recently renovated Seattle waterfront has new comfort stations as part of the major waterfront redevelopment.

Tip: Seattle has automated self-cleaning toilet kiosks (SPCs) in several downtown locations. These accept a quarter and offer a clean, private experience.

Seattle Public Library

The iconic downtown Central Library by Rem Koolhaas and all Seattle Public Library branches welcome public restroom use.

Capitol Hill and Other Neighborhoods

Cal Anderson Park's restroom is well-maintained. In the University District, the University of Washington campus has public-accessible restrooms in the main library and student union buildings.
